Canadian whisky is produced in Canada. Most Canadian whiskies are blended multi-grain liquors containing a large percentage of corn spirits. Canadian distillers began adding small amounts of rye grain to their rye-flavoured whisky, now called “rye.” The term “rye whisky” and “Canadian whisky” can be interchanged in Canada and refer to exactly the same drink.
